While constant UV exposure, genetic predispositions, and the stress of everyday living can make great skin seem out of reach, these stars will demonstrate how there’s a unique skin treatment solution for everyone.

The Secret To Glowing Skin

Some stars have skin that just seems to glow every time they appear on camera. Achieving glowing skin can be a challenge, and since everyone’s skin is unique, there are a variety of approaches to consider.

Kate Middleton is one celebrity who always appears with a glamorous glow. One of her skin care secrets might surprise you. Prior to her wedding, Prince William’s blushing bride got an extra special facial with some help from the insect kingdom. That’s right, the Duchess of Smiles used a face mask containing bee-sting venom developed by an acclaimed beauty therapist to prepare for her big day.

And you should be aware that bee venom isn’t just for royal skin anymore. You can actually find your own jar of venom-laced cream for a surprisingly affordable price.

You wouldn’t know Jennifer Aniston’s age from her shining, golden appearance on the red carpet. In fact, she doesn’t look much different than when she was playing her generation-defining role as Rachel Green on “Friends.” Her secret? Every night before bed, she applies vaseline under her eyes. She also swears by daily use of moisturizer. So if you’re looking to reproduce the effect Aniston pulls off so effortlessly, these skin care products may be the place to start.

Halle Berry is another megastar with glowing, gorgeously youthful skin. Her skin care solution is an unusual one, but it’s actually pretty simple. Everyone knows Vitamin C is enormously beneficial to human health, but the megastar actually rubs it directly into her skin to keep up her enviable complexion.

Halle Berry isn’t the only one who swears by Vitamin C either. Georgia Louise is the facialist for such notable individuals as Emma Stone, Amy Schumer, and Alexander Wang. For red carpet events, a vitamin C peel is one of her go to strategies to create a glow-inducing boost for her clients skin. Vitamin C peels can make your skin more luminous in no time at all.

Hydration and Health

Good health habits are key to maintaining good skin. Drinking plenty of water and getting enough sleep every night don’t just make you feel better, they make you look better too. Many celebrities swear by judicious use of water and hydration. We’ll walk through just a few of their tips here.

Lucy Liu swears by proper diet and healthy habits as part of her cosmetic maintenance regimen. For this action star from the east, that means three things: lots of water, fresh fruits and veggies, and daily meditation.

But that’s not all. Liu has made water an instrumental part of maintaining her clear, beautiful skin and youthful appearance. On days when she doesn’t use makeup, she always exfoliates after waking and before bed, keeping it simple with just a washcloth and some water. No soap is necessary.

When Liu has to wear make up, she also uses eye makeup remover. This helps her avoid irritating the skin around her eyes with too much scrubbing. Then she washes her face with a washcloth, soap and water. After her face is clean, she mixes colostrum-rich cream with aloe vera and touch of oil. Last but not least, she gently massages this combination of skin care ingredients onto her face.

Lucy Liu is not alone in highlighting plenty of water and proper diet as essential to good skin care. Rihanna is careful to increase her water intake and cut down on alcohol when her skin’s not at its best. Keira Knightley claims a healthier diet has led her to clearer skin with far fewer zits and pimples.

As you can see, hydration is paramount to good health and great skin care. Jessica Alba emphasizes the importance of hydration in her approach to skin care too. Lately, she’s taking extra special care of herself in anticipation of Baby No. 3. Every night, she uses organic body oil  to hydrate her skin. Hydration is the number one way she is able to stay one of the world’s most enchanting moms.

Hydrating treatments are an important part of skin care for Drew Barrymore as well. A self-described “beauty junkie,” Barrymore also works with peel pads, moisturizing crémes, and cleansers.

Combating Skin Care Conditions

Did you know that before she was a star, Kerry Washington battled eczema? We never would have guessed either. These days, in between takes for her hit show Scandal, Washington now takes fish oil pills and drinks green juices to keep her skin looking great. She also avoids foundation, opting for just a bit of concealer instead.

If you’ve suffered from a skin condition or just have a skin type that resists conventional care strategies, you’re not alone. Nearly everyone has to deal with pimples and other annoyances, even big stars. There are a number of different solutions available, depending on your skin type and/or any dermatological condition you may be dealing with.

Kristen Bell has a very specific but simple routine to take of her skin, which she describes as highly sensitive and dry. Every single day, she puts a wash cloth under steaming hot water. (Sometimes she even heats it up in the microwave.) Then she sets the hot towel on her face for at least twenty seconds. Also, she only washes her face with soap and lotion at night in the shower.

Amanda Seyfried has also suffered from eczema over the years, and dealt with it with a combination of factors. She uses moisturizer, concealer, and does her best to avoid unnecessary anxiety.

Kate Bosworth has struggled with acne. To combat her condition, she applies moisturizer and sunscreen in the mornings and cleanses with a prescription face wash at night.

Exotic Skin Care Approaches

Some celebrities care for their skin with rather unusual techniques. If it feels like you’ve tried everything to improve your skin’s appearance with little to show for it, you may want to consider some of these approaches. (If you are suffering from a serious skin condition, be sure to seek medical treatment from a licensed dermatologist.)

The Oscar-winning French actress Marion Cotillard treats her skin with something a little more exotic than most of her American counterparts. She applies argan oil to her skin nearly every day. Argan oil is a special Moroccan skin treatment that’s packed with antioxidants. It’s said to improve elasticity and give your skin a natural glow. Fun fact: argan oil has been used in Morocco for centuries, so you could say it’s withstood the test of time.

Cindy Crawford has a skin treatment routine as unique and otherworldly as her beauty. She takes a daily hot tub, and once a week jumps in an infrared sauna. The legendary supermodel requires some very special environments to preserve and enhance her gorgeous skin.

If a daily dip in the hot tub is not your thing, Diane Lane’s got you covered. The silver screen legend uses cosmetic acupuncture to support her unbelievable radiant appearance. No word on whether her husband Josh Brolin goes under .

As you can see, there’s no shortage of effective methods to improve and maintain your skin so that’s clear and beautiful for years to come. The key takeaway is this: skin care techniques can differ enormously from woman to woman. There’s no silver bullet solution–you have to take the time to learn about your skin and your body to find out what works best for you.

Written by Dr. Steven Rosen
Many great inventions and discoveries in the world were unintentional or just plain accidents. The story you are about to read concerning a breakthrough in the cosmetics field relates another great accidental discovery. In 1985, in an office in South Florida, Dr. Steven Rosen, a dentist at that time was working on a patient. The patient was a private investigator. Medication was given to the patient to alleviate the pain associated with his treatment. Two days later, the patient noticed a dramatic improvement not only in the pain level, but in his skin as well. His face, which was full of razor bumps, had cleared up! The man couldn't wait to tell the dentist what had happened. He called the dentist on the phone. He asked the dentist what he was doing to him. The dentist was worried and asked what he was talking about. He told the dentist that something the dentist was doing was clearing up his razor bumps. He told the dentist that since he started shaving 15 years earlier, he had tried everything available for razor bumps and nothing had worked until now. The investigator began to tell the dentist how important this discovery was. He mentioned that the dozens of products already on the market did not come close to producing the dramatic results he had achieved. He also said that this was a big problem in the military where a clean shave was required or you would have to get a shaving clearance from the dermatologist. Lawsuits had been filed in industry by workers who were fired because they were unable to get a clean shave for example where gas mask use was required Police must have clean shaves and so on. The dentist realized the importance of this discovery and determined which ingredient in the medication was improving the skin. Realizing that the ingredient could not be taken internally for long periods of time, the two men experimented with the formula in an attempt to apply it directly to the skin. It worked. It then took nine long years work to create a workable product and learn how to reach the market. . The dentist had a great discovery. Other uses for the formula arose in the same "chance" way that the formula was discovered. Women who bought the product for their husbands or boyfriends started trying it on ingrown hair problem they had from shaving, waxing, and having electrolysis on their legs, bikini lines, and underarms. Not only did they report to the dentist that the ingrown hair problems had cleared, but that the formula worked as an excellent underarm deodorant. And the rest is history……… Thank you for letting us tell our story. We hope you enjoyed it.
